An assessment will be carried out prior to approval, which will identify
the exact cost involved.

What is included in the fees?

• Normal room rate.
• All Nursing care
• Medical officer
• All meals/snacks
• Laundry service

Not Included

A number of medical preparations are not included on the medical card scheme

and if you prescribed these drugs they will incur an extra charge. Please

consult your local pharmacy for a list of drugs that are not included on the Medical

Card Scheme.

• Incontinence wear
• All items/services prescribed by your occupational
• therapist/physiotherapist.
• All referrals to Optician/Dentist
• All outgoing telephone calls/ mail and any television
• channels that is not freely available.
• Beautician
• Massage Therapy
• Hairdressing / nail care
• Chiropody
